Vintage Hospitality
The Silver Dollar Bar was established in 1935. It was formerly located between the Malt Shop and the Pizza Shop, not the names at the time.  Some old
timer's remember when they moved, the customers helped haul the top surface of the bar, "the plank", to it's present location.  The Silver Dollar was owned
by numerous people and had a very colorful past.  Known as "the Bloody Buck" hints at the notoriety.

Robin and Doug Morigeau bought the bar in 1994 and set about rebuilding the structural and business aspects of the bar.  Robin and Doug are hard working
family people and courted similar for customers.  A strictly enforced no fighting policy went into place as well as a policy of respect for each other.  No
politics, religion, or race is to be discussed, enforced at the bartenders' discretion.

With remodeling of the building, as well as remodeling the customer base,  management found a need to serve food.  The owner's installed a grill and deep fry
.  Soon the bartender was so busy with food, customers had to wait for a drink.

The Silver Dollar built Robin's Early Bird Market - Deli to provide food for the bar and to offer our great food to the public that didn't want to go in the
bar.

Doug and Robin have owned the Silver Dollar for going on fifteen years and the Early Bird has been in business over three years now, and, a lot of people are
just now hearing about us, or trying us.  Open late, with great food. Roots dating back to 1935, we call that
"vintage hospitality".
The "princess of the Silver Dollar"
is now old enough to bartend.  Visit
with Sarah Irene Morigeau on
Tuesday nights.  If you remember
Irene Morigeau, Sarah's
Grandmother, you'll find an
astonishing resemblance in their
attitudes and caring.
